Organ Dense Meatloaf

Amazing healing properties...make your intestines happy!

Ingredients
  

  • lbs beef, lamb or combo ground
  • ½ lb organ meat chicken / beef, liver / heart, ground
  • 3 eggs pastured
  • 1 small red onion finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp oregano dried
  • 1 tsp thyme dried
  • 1 cup mushrooms button or baby bella, chopped fine
  • 1 cup carrots finely grated
  • 1 tsp pepper fresh cracked
  • 1 tbsp kelp seasoning great for trace minerals

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Place all ingredients in a bowl, and mix together with your hands.
  • Place the mixture into a glass loaf pan.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the center reaches 160°F.
  • You can enjoy the meat loaf right away, or freeze it in thick slices for quick meals.
  • This freezes raw, also... just wrap the whole uncooked loaf in parchment paper, then tinfoil, and pop it into the freezer.

Notes

For an easy alternative to grinding your own organs, several farms offer combination ground beef or lamb with organs already mixed in for your convenience. Thats right, they grind the organs right into the meat for you!

This recipe is GAPS approved for phase 4 of the diet but no need to be on the full GAPS diet to enjoy!
