Jessica Doyle
Jessica Doyle is our Executive Director of Operations here at The Path CIFM. She earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Mass Communications degree with a focus on journalism, but quickly realized her passion lied elsewhere. Growing up in New Orleans, food was a long-time love. She learned to cook from the best, her Granny, and her mom. She went on to become a professional chef and pastry chef, working in some of the best restaurants in the city.
After embarking on her own personal health journey, it led her to question EVERYTHING, especially the quality of the food she had been learning to prepare for herself and others over the last 2 decades. She also took an interest in phytotherapy and completed a course in herbalism. She wanted to expand her knowledge of clinical nutrition and natural therapies and learn how to better use food as medicine. So, Jessica went back to school to eventually become a Certified Clinician of Whole Food Nutrition (CCWFN) through the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health (IFNH). She continues to focus heavily on her culinary skills, applying her experience to the preparation of healthy, nutrient dense, ancestral foods. She is a Certified Master Gardener and grows many of her family’s fruits and vegetables organically in her own backyard.
She uses her deep knowledge of gardening and personal experiences to teach others how to incorporate these healthy practices. Jessica has experience in management and running her own business for the last 13 years. She is known for her exceptional organizational skills which can be useful in any endeavor and will help you to stay focused and committed to your health journey. When you walk through the door to The Path, chances are Jessica will be the first smile you see. You can just call her Jess! She can’t wait to hear your story, share experiences, and advocate ways we can all stay on The Path to health and wellness.

Kayla Foster Gilberti, JD, MSN
Kayla Foster Gilberti received her Bachelorette in Nursing from Louisiana State University in 1990. Upon graduation, she worked as an Intensive Care Nurse at Ochsner Hospital. She was accepted into the Charity Hospital/Xavier University Nurse Anesthesia Program in 1991 with a full scholarship. After graduating with a master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesiology in 1994, she worked as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Chabert Medical Center in Houma, Memorial/Baptist Hospital, and Touro Infirmary. She performed all types of anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures including open heart surgery, brain surgery, and epidurals for laboring patients. She thoroughly enjoyed her work as a CRNA but unfortunately, in late 1999 she had to give up her beloved anesthesia career because she developed a life-threatening allergy to natural latex rubber. Powdered latex gloves and other latex products were used extensively in healthcare settings back in the 1990s, resulting in over 10% of all healthcare workers developing a latex allergy.
Since latex allergy was a relatively new condition back in the 1990s Kayla had to take an active role in her diagnosis and care. She believes her work, education, and advocacy did have an impact on the federal laws that have reduced exposure to latex, especially in the healthcare industry. Now all medical devices must state whether they contain latex, and powdered latex gloves are finally banned in the United States. Although Kayla would like to see all non-powdered latex gloves entirely banned (and latex balloons) these measures have all but prevented new latex allergies from developing, ensuring that other healthcare providers do not lose their health and livelihood.
Since Kayla needed to re-educate herself and find a new career, she chose to attend Tulane University’s Law School in New Orleans, hoping to use her medical knowledge in the legal arena. She graduated in 2006 with her Juris Doctorate and passed the Louisiana bar that same year. She has been a self-employed attorney since 2007 representing clients in medical malpractice lawsuits and other personal injury cases. After having her daughter, she scaled back her practice to working part-time.
Although Kayla is a practicing attorney, her first love is medicine, especially physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, and wellness. These interests align well with the philosophy of Dr. Krail-Javier, and she was invited to work as The Path’s RN, administering intravenous therapies for their clients. Kayla looks forward to working with Dr. Krail-Javier, her patients, and other providers at The Path. She is very excited to learn more about integrative and functional medicine and improve her and her family’s health and wellness along the way!
