Benefits of IV Therapy
Intravenous (IV) therapy is also referred to as infusion therapy because treatments are allowed to infuse into the body over a period of time rather than injected all at once. Intravenous (IV) therapies are administered through the veins directly into the bloodstream for quick and efficient delivery of high potency nutrition. IV delivery ensures 100% absorption of administered nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and fluids, as well as medications and other therapeutics because they are not subject to digestion or require absorption through the gut which weakens their potency. Therefore, IV delivery results in the quick replenishment and restoration of deficient or depleted body tissues. It serves as the ideal delivery mechanism for certain therapeutics with effects that would be dampened by limitations of the digestive process.
In addition to replenishing nutrient deficits, IV therapy can benefit a variety of conditions and has a broad span of therapeutic purposes including hydration, detoxification, recovery from infection or illness, nutritional support, relief of headaches and preventive care. Each substance maintains a special function in the body. The procedure is minimally invasive requiring a small needle insertion into a vein as a port of delivery for fluid, nutrients, or therapeutics to be administered.
Immune Support
IV nutrition can facilitate natural healing and recovery from infection or injury. It can be used to quickly replenish depleted nutrients and prevent the relapse or recurrence of illness. IV nutrition can restore and repair the body’s natural defenses to minimize the intensity and duration of your illness. Immune boosting nutrients can also be used preventatively.
Magnesium
Magnesium is a common deficiency, but it is required by the body to sustain life and function properly. The muscular, cardiac, and nervous systems are particularly dependent on adequate magnesium levels and when the body is deficient, disease can manifest or worsen. It is commonly used in the treatment of muscle spasms, chronic pain syndromes, cardiac arrythmias, headaches, and hypertension. Magnesium is known as nature’s calcium channel blocker that decreases stress on the heart. It is a calming mineral that can be used to ease anxiety and associated symptoms. In most cases it is preferred to use oral nutrition to address magnesium deficiency but, in some cases, and infusion may be used to alleviate pressing symptoms such as pain or anxiety, while working on the underlying cause and building nutritional reserves.
High Dose Vitamin C
High dose IV vitamin C (IVC) can provide interim support to those struggling with long term illness while focusing on health restoration and maintenance. It is a potent antiviral and immune boosting substance with the ability to neutralize toxins, making it highly beneficial for adjunct treatment of viral and bacterial infections including Lyme. Vitamin C is essential for collagen production, cardiovascular health and healthy metabolism and is a potent antioxidant.
Medical research supports the use of vitamin C for a variety of conditions including supportive cancer care. There is published evidence confirming the anti-cancer properties of vitamin C. It has been shown that there is a lower risk of death from cancer when vitamin C levels are adequate. IVC serves as a complement to oncologic care that may reduce pain, improve tolerance to chemotherapy, improve appetite, and reduce symptoms of conventional therapies while helping patients to remain active. It does not interfere with conventional treatments and patients may continue their care if they so choose. Intravenous Vitamin C can also reduce pain after injury, help the body heal faster, and improve energy levels.
Chelation TherapyÂ
Chelation therapy is used primarily for the detoxification of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, aluminum, arsenic, and cadmium. Patients with high metal exposures such as mercury (silver) fillings or those considering their removal, and those with diets high in seafood containing mercury may require chelation. Heavy metals often coexist with chronic infections and in plaques that build up in the arteries causing atherosclerosis. Toxic metals can worsen symptoms of these and other conditions such as anxiety, depression, brain fog, fatigue, skin rashes, autism, and Alzheimer’s disease. Chelating agents work by binding to metal ions in the blood stream so they can be safety removed through the urine. The most commonly used chelating agent is ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA).
Testing is always used to confirm the presence of toxic metals before treatment is initiated. An integrative approach to metal detox is used alongside IV chelation and may include therapies such as lymphatic drainage, mineral replacement, adjuvant detox therapies, and clinical nutrition. There are many ways to approach metal detox. We often do not use IV therapy as a first line treatment but rather keep it reserved for extreme cases or those who are fully primed to maximize elimination and recovery. Glutathione is always given in conjunction with chelation to assist liver detoxification.
Glutathione
Glutathione (GSH) is the master antioxidant produced by the body. It is the most powerful protector of free radical damage and other antioxidants depend on it for their own independent function. We depend heavily on glutathione for toxin removal, cellular repair, and proper immune function. A large number of pollutants such as carcinogens, heavy metals, herbicides, pesticides, and radiation can be neutralized by GSH, but these environmental insults can also deplete GSH levels. For this reason, GSH is frequently used to enhance detoxification protocols and protect the liver. It can also be used prophylactically to minimize your risk of disease in general. GSH production is known to decrease with age as well as with the use of medications, trauma, and infections. Because GSH is not easily absorbed through the GI tract, it is difficult to raise levels through oral supplementation, especially if your body has been depleted by chronic illness or high stress situations. Intravenous glutathione can be given alone or in combination with other nutrients. It can be used to support healthy aging, cancer treatment, heart disease, dementia, autism, Alzheimer’s disease and more.
NAD+ (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)
NAD is an essential cofactor involved in hundreds of cellular functions. It is a critical regulator of physiologic function. NAD is derived from vitamin B3 and is used by every cell in the body to increase cellular energy production. It plays a significant role in neurological function and can be used to improve brain chemistry, neurotransmitter activity, and cognition. It can also be used to enhance mood, decrease anxiety, and reduce cravings for alcohol and other addictive substances while reducing withdrawal symptoms. NAD has a positive effect on aging through the regulation of DNA repair, epigenetic modification, genomic stability, inflammation, metabolic function, circadian rhythm, stress resistance, cellular senescence (ability to get rid of dying cells), and neurodegeneration.

PlaqueX®
PlaqueX infusions are primarily used to remove fatty and hardened plaque from blood vessels throughout the body. PlaqueXÂ is also used for general antiaging purposes. It has applications in liver and kidney disease, protecting the stomach lining from NSAID damage, and in psoriasis patients. PlaqueXÂ Oral Gel Capsules are usually added as an adjunct to IV treatment. It is recommended to take oral PlaqueX therapy in between IV treatment sessions and after the infusion series is completed for maintenance of results.
PlaqueXÂ can be given in conjunction with EDTA chelation infusions to treat vascular plaque deposits and reduce atherosclerosis in those at risk for cardiovascular (CVD) disease. PlaqueX exhibits several different functions within cell membranes that influence the many parameters involved in atherosclerosis while EDTA binds calcium, heavy metals, and harmful toxins contributing to build up in the arteries. Together, they are a great preventive measure used to reduce your risk of a cardiovascular event, improve circulation and vessel integrity, lower cholesterol levels naturally, and increase your overall heart health.

MistletoeÂ
Mistletoe (Viscum Album) is often associated with the Christmas tradition of kissing, but mistletoe has been used for its medicinal properties dating back to ancient times. It is a plant that lives on certain types of trees and possesses unusual properties that defy natural laws of sunlight and gravity such as bearing fruit in the winter. Mistletoe has an invigorating and restorative impact on the body that comes from its unique combination of over 1,000 constituents that work synergistically to strengthen the immune system, activate the body’s natural defenses and improve general wellbeing.
Mistletoe has been used safely as a part of integrative cancer therapy since 1917 with studies demonstrating its positive effects on quality of life. It can be used alongside conventional treatments to offset the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation such as nausea, vomiting, poor sleep quality, and lack of appetite and to stimulate bone marrow activity.
It can also be used to lessen the pain associated with tumors and reduce the risk of tumor recurrence. Mistletoe therapy can be initiated at any time before, during and after conventional therapy and for any tumor type.
